Project: Where is.ie

Whereis.ie is the critical part of Shane's Final Year Project within his study towards a B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Technology. Whereis.ie is a website for finding, rating and reviewing local businesses throughout Ireland. It also encorporates direction/navigation features among others.

The second part of the project is an Android application. The app will include certain (but not all) features of the website. It will also eventually have an added 'Augmented Reality' feature when completed. It is due to be completed around May/June 2013.

About Shane

Shane graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2011 with a B.Sc. in Software Systems Development. After which, he spent a year working and holidaying in Australia, mainly along the east coast; and he also did some Web Development work while there.

As mentioned above, Shane is currently studying towards a B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Technology, and eventually wishes to obtain an M.Sc. in Computer Science.

Shane loves movies and good TV shows that are worth watching. His active passions are weightlifting, running, swimming, cycling... anything really! He enjoys keeping active, and is almost always injured as a result. His pet hate? Wasted potential.
